Pacquiao vs Margarito: Zyrene Parsad to sing the Phil. National Anthem

November 12, 2010

The 24-year old singer Zyrene Parsad was lucky enough to be personally chosen by Pacquiao to sing the Philippine National Anthem for his upcoming fight against the former Mexican champion, Antonio Margarito in Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Arling, Texas. The sensational pound-for-pound fighter Manny Pacquiao has always chosen to sing with him the song bearer of the Philippines. As we all know that the National Anthem singer on every fight of Manny Pacquiao served and add up as the lucky charm for Pacquiao.

Could be the lucky Zyrene who was first heard singing the national anthem by Manny during a gathering of businessmen held recently in Makati hotel, Philippines will be charming as she is to sing the “Lupang Hinirang” on Novmber 13, 2010? Hopefully she could since she is part of Pacquiao team and deserves honor too. But because of some issues concerning the proper voicing of the country’s National Anthem, Parsad herself consulted the National Historical Institute of the Philippines to stay away from the same arguments and criticisms faced by singers/artists who previously sang the anthem on Manny’s previous big fights.

Watch Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight live or replay and be part of this historic event happening on November 13, 2010 beginning at 9pm ET or November 14, 2010 Philippine time. The fights of the pound-for-found king are numbers or even this could be the last. Win or lose, Pacquiao will still be as great as he is.
